Belonging to Earth is my weekly storytelling practice.
Each week I write a new story inspired by the people, landscapes and experiences that continue to shape the way I see the world.
These stories explore connection, curiosity and what it means to belong to ourselves, to one another and to the world around us.
Every story is written first, then narrated in my own voice. Because sometimes a story is not only about the words on the page, but the feeling, pauses and emotions that are carried through the spoken word.

Stalling in Momentum
What perpetual ascent really feels like (Witty Gritty’s subtitle)
There is something truly unforgiving when I look at Farming Revolution in its entirety. The potential enormity looms like a suffocating plume of ash. But there is an undeniable bubbling sensation inside of me. The lava is pushing closer to the surface as the date for my first on-farm visit is getting closer. It has been a couple of years since I have filmed with passion in my heart and no trolls in sight. For my own peace of mind I had to ‘give it a rest’ until I felt ready to launch myself into the paddocks again.
The Winter Solstice fire pit sits in my mind gently flicking and crackling. When I was told to…”Keep going mate” by an anonymous farmer from my imagination. I have an uncanny way of predicting my future and here we are today.
